Dr. Steven M. Pounders is a Dallas native and graduated from Hillcrest High School and Austin College, specializing in General Science and German. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX and completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston. He is affiliated with multiple hospitals, including Baylor University Medical Center, Clements Hospital at UTSW and Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas, and has received numerous awards for his work, including for his service to the LGBTQ+ community and his role as an HIV specialist.
